Three-year-old Mandaree woman discovered, Amber Alert canceled, man in custody
MANDAREE, ND (KFYR) – (UPDATE 8:05 PM 8/25): Amirae Driver has been safely located by law enforcement officials. The AMBER Alert issued by NDHP and NDBCI at the request of Three Affiliated Tribes Law Enforcement Thursday has been canceled.
The MHA Emergency Operations Center told Your News Leader that Myron Johnson was located Thursday night and was taken into custody. Charges are pending.
The EOC said both the child and Johnson were located on the reservation. They said the child was found around 7:35 pm
A spokesperson for the center said they conducted a wide-area search around Mandaree Thursday, and thanked the agencies involved.
(UPDATE 8/25 1:45 PM): An Amber Alert has now been issued for Amirae Driver, 3, from Mandaree. Call 911 or Three Affiliated Tribes Law Enforcement at 701-627-3617 if you have seen any sign of Driver, her father or the white van they may be traveling in.
Police advise you not to approach Myron Cody Johnson. Myron Cody Johnson may be driving a white 2014 Chrysler Town and Country Van with North Dakota license plate 983 BBG.The van has front end damage and damage to the rear lift gate.
Myron Johnson is described as a 45 year old Native American man, 5′ 11″ and 172 lbs. He has short black hair and brown eyes.

(ORIGINAL STORY 5:30 AM 8/25): Three Affiliated Tribes law enforcement are looking for three-year-old Amirae Driver. They believe Driver is with her father, Myron Cody Johnson, who may be in a state of high emotional and mental distress. Law enforcement believe the girl’s immediate health and safety may be in danger.
Investigators say Driver was taken from a home in Mandaree by her father on Wednesday afternoon after a welfare check by Child Protective Services.
They’re looking for a white 2014 Chrysler Town & Country van with license plate 983BBG. Police do not know what direction they’re traveling in.
Driver is described as Native American, three-feet tall and weighing 40 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
