Woman, 12, Rescued From Human Trafficking In Vallejo; Man, 19, In Custody – CBS Sacramento

VALLEJO (CBS13) – A 19-year-old man is in custody after a 12-year-old girl was rescued from being trafficked in Vallejo on Wednesday.

According to the Vallejo Police Department, officers located on Fairgrounds Drive shortly after noon. The child reportedly called for help.

Human trafficking is a vicious and formidable attack on humanity and the human dignity of its victims. Our community has a moral duty to hold the perpetrators of these heinous crimes accountable, to defeat human trafficking through advocacy, and to help survivors rebuild their lives. “

Fidel Rodriguez-Navarrete, 19, from Vallejo, was admitted to the Fairfield Justice Center and charged with trafficking in human beings, sex with minors, assault with a lethal weapon and contributing to the crime of a minor in prison showing records. His security deposit is $ 176,000.

“In addition, this despicable case of child trafficking and sexual assault against minors reaffirms the importance of advocacy, support and prevention for victims in the city of Vallejo,” said Chief Williams. “The fact that a child victim has to sit on a cold police bench after a traumatic incident is unacceptable.”
