Woodbury Incident Leaves 2 Youngsters Harm, Girl In Custody – WCCO

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The authorities of the U-Bahn Ost are investigating an incident early Wednesday morning in which two children were injured and a woman was taken into custody.

John Altman, the Woodbury Public Safety police commander, said officers responded to the report that a woman was chasing a child on the 400 block on Lake View Alcove at around 12:46 a.m. Further emergency calls reported screams in the area.

At the scene, officers found the first 911 operator and a child believed to be around 6 years old. They also found another child, believed to be under 6 years old, lying on the street and unresponsive.

Both children were taken to hospital for treatment. The younger child is likely in critical condition, Altman said.

Authorities also encountered a woman who is believed to be the suspect. She was taken into custody. No other suspects are wanted.

Investigators speak to witnesses and try to determine exactly what happened. According to Altman, the police are in the process of obtaining a search warrant to see if anything has happened in a house.
