Postal Employee Shot At In Florida Metropolis; Suspect In Custody – CBS Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A suspect is on remand after he was accused of shooting a postman in Florida City on Monday.

Filming took place around 1:35 p.m. in the 600 block area of ​​Northwest 6th Street.

Florida City Police said they received an 911 call from a postman stating that someone shot them.

The postman informed the police that they were delivering mail to an apartment and noticed someone with a gun by an upstairs window. She immediately went back to her vehicle and drove off when her truck was hit by gunfire.

At least one shot penetrated the mail vehicle, the authorities said.

The police set up a perimeter and the Miami-Dade Police Department’s special operations team was able to take their suspect into custody.

The suspect, who has not been identified, may face multiple federal charges.

The postman was unharmed.
