ROLLEN, Mon. – A man was killed while he and another man exchanged shots during an argument over a custody situation, Rolla police said.
Terry Brown, 27, died after being shot in his home Monday, Rolla police said in a press release.
Devon Johnson, 27, of Rolla, went to Brown’s house to discuss a custody situation with Brown. The two men argued Brown went to his house to get a gun and then fired multiple shots at Johnson, police said.
Johnson pulled a gun out of his vehicle and returned fire, injuring Brown, who later died in a Rolla hospital, police said.
Police say Johnson cooperated and surrendered without incident.
No charges of the shooting had been filed as of Tuesday. Johnson was held on an independent warrant pending.
