“I’m 29 years old and I’ve never had an ID,” says Ms. T *, a mother of two to Khayelitsha, who wonders how to feed her children after her child benefit was cut at the end of December.
The 29-year-old Khayelitsha woman is struggling to obtain ID from the Home Office and endures a seemingly endless shuttle between Sassa and the Ministry.
